I suppose everyone who goes through college comes out with a couple key stories about the "wildest night ever." Years afterward, it'll be these nights that they share with their friends and eventually tell their kids someday. Saturday night was one of those nights.
My friends had been planning a jello wrestling event for the past week. This would have to surpass the oil wrestling tournament which took place last year. During a meeting on Wednesday, we eventually figured out that Saturday would be the only feasible day for the event, the mindset being "this is crazy enough to work." The biggest challenge would be getting all the jello. I did a bunch of calculations and figured that we would need 100 gallons to fill the kiddie pool. Everyone pulled together and came up with 40 gallons, which, to my surprise, was just enough to cover the pool. and believe me, I've never seen more jello in all my life. Some estimates say we spent something like $200 on jello alone as a group.
The wrestling itself wasn't as exciting as some would imagine, but that's beside the point. Everyone at JMU was there that night. The Black Eyed Peas, who had just finished a show at JMU, even showed up for a little while. By the end of the night, I was covered in jello (which is as repulsive as one could imagine) from standing ring-side, holding up the pool and taking care of the jello situation.
Sorry, I don't have any pics of the girls smothering each other in the gelatin or a shot of me with Fergie or Will.i.am. But if you wanna see that kind of thing (I don't know why) check out some of my buddies' Webshots:
